About
Time on the Lake: moments worth reeling in.
I’m Marcus, and along with my wife Cass, we love the early mornings, quiet waters, and the little moments that make fishing special. From local spots in Southern Ontario to remote Northern Ontario lakes, we chase new adventures and whatever’s biting. As content creators, we keep it real – sharing simple, relatable experiences that remind anglers it’s not about being perfect, but about enjoying every second on the water.
Marcus’ love of fishing started young, growing up in a family where time on the water was a big part of life. He spent countless days exploring Ontario with his grandpa, whether it was early morning trips to the Grand River or multi-day adventures across the province. Those experiences shaped his connection to the outdoors, and what began as a childhood pastime grew into a lifelong passion for fishing, nature, and the adventure that comes with it.
Cass has always enjoyed the outdoors, growing up camping and hiking with her family. She didn’t start fishing with Marcus right away and at first simply tagged along on trips, capturing moments behind the camera or reading while Marcus fished. Over time, she fell in love with fishing herself and now enjoys sharing both the excitement and the quiet moments that make time on the lake so special.
In 2020, Marcus launched Time on the Lake, sharing his fishing trips and outdoor adventures online. What began as a way to document time on the water has grown into a community of more than 150,000 followers across platforms, along with opportunities to collaborate with a variety of outdoor and fishing brands. Through it all, the focus remains the same: authentic experiences and the simple enjoyment of being out on the water.
